Personal Workshops

The Silent Witness

The Silent Witness is and has always been our constant companion. Probably never articulated as such, possibly even a fearful concept to imagine, this companion is the One who observes, lives with and accompanies those unspoken aspects of ourselves, and our story throughout our life's journey.

Within the safety of this workshop we will explore your own personal myth and story surrounding this Witness of the Unspoken. Using a variety of experiential exercises - breath-work, visualisation, role-play - participants will have the opportunity to look into and discuss (or not) that which we individually and all too often as a society are unable to acknowledge - the Silent Witness.

Journalling Your Journey

Building a conscious self means becoming increasingly aware of inner, bodily and interpersonal events. In these workshops writing can build a bridge between both our inner and the outer worlds.

Journal writing enables us to observe our own behaviour, to be reflective, and to mark passages of major and lesser significance in our lives. Through the process of observing, articulating and 'marking' one's own inner journey Journaling can help us to make more sense of our lives. It is the questions that count and the journal provides the canvas to explore, to experiment, to elaborate, and/or discard certain aspects.

Jan provides a structure that allows you to shine a light upon your particular experience. Writing and meditation exercises designed to stir the imagination and to connect you with your spiritual self form the main body of these workshops. The aim is not to teach you how to write, but to guide your questioning of yourself and your life.

Self-Esteem: Why You Need It & How You Can Get It

This workshop will introduce you to the concept of core beliefs (the building blocks of self-esteem): how we learn them; how they affect our mood, behaviour and relationships; how they often lead to vicious circles and self-fulfilling prophesies; and how we can work on changing them.

We hear the phrase all the time, but what exactly is self-esteem? Healthy and authentic self-esteem means loving, respecting and accepting ourselves and others for just who we are. Being self-motivated, willing to take risks, capable of handling criticism and having pride in our accomplishments are some of the benefits of improved self-esteem.

In this program we will learn strategies to develop better self-esteem, so that we can identify and avoid destructive behaviours impacting all areas of our lives and relationships, whether they are in the bedroom or the boardroom.

Female Sexuality

What do you want, why wouldn't you want it, what prevents you from having it? The purpose of these workshops is to bring you back to your innate power, the power of the feminine.

Understand how the denial of women's rites has actually become the denial of women's rights. Coming to understand the power of the feminine dark begins the process of re-integration -- learn how to become the subject of your own desires, rather than the object of another's.

Define what you want in life, in relationships, in your body, in your mind.

In our attempt to reclaim the healing and regenerative powers of the Dark Goddess we must develop a positive relationship with the feminine shadow as it operates within each of us - male and female. As humanity came to perceive the dark feminine as threatening to the conscious, rational ego-self and the established social order, each of us likewise has denied and suppressed these very qualities in ourselves. In the process we have cut ourselves of from acknowledging and expressing our complete psychic reality.

Building Trust in Relationships

Trust involves feeling safe and is a necessary foundation for intimacy. It is only in the richness of our inner worlds that we can find ourselves. With an awareness of our past, we can avoid sabotaging our present. Part of finding greater intimacy involves coming to know our own personal ghosts.

Learning to trust, to share, is a challenge - a risk - but it encourages us to grow in relation to ourselves and to others.

Finding Your Passion

Accessing your own unique Symbolism, we will Explore and Write your own Personal Myth.

Participation in this workshop can assist you in the development of symbols and personal rituals which engender and support healthy attitudes toward your own desires - whatever they might be.  Jan invites you to bring along something which symbolises passion for you: It can be a word, an object, a memory, a picture - it may be your own self - whatever it might be it is uniquely yours and will be honoured as such.

We will meander pathways helping you find your uniqueness - the one or many gifts that you have that no one else but you can offer. Throughout the course of this workshop we will come to discover some of your beliefs, core values and goals. You'll gain insight into your personal qualities, embedded responses to situations and some understanding of the myth and story you are living or maybe it is living you.
